Bootlace 2.1 Released for iPhone 2G/3G - Installs OpeniBoot!

Bootlace 2.1 has been released so update now! - This release is the culmination of months of work and is only possible thanks to CPICH and Patrick Wildt (Bluerise).

This release marks a significant milestone, you can now install iDroid in entirety without the need of a computer!

Under the OpeniBoot tab you are able to install OpeniBoot, upgrade or remove it and configure an already installed OpeniBoot. Your device will be patched on first launch to allow the NOR to be flashed under iOS (This is a one off process - with patches thanks to CPICH & Bluerise).

OpeniBoot version 0.1.2 or earlier will be ignored by Bootlace and overwritten with the latest version that is Bootlace 2.1 compatible (0.1.3).

There is a known issue with iOS4.1 and Redsn0w 0.9.6b2. Please use 0.9.6b1 or wait for a fix.

Nice one, guys .
I'll run a check on 4.2 as soon as the public release comes out. Got it on at the minute but the jailbreak causes some screen glitching issues (usable, but annoying!).

Bootlace won't work with 4.2 as it will require a new set of kernel patches which we haven't done yet.

one recommendation that I may make is the option to choose custom openiboots (such as iX and PSFreedom ones) for install as well as the official one, would be a nice addition to have imho

No point as my next project is to make OpeniBoot configurable with menu options so 'custom' openiboot builds will no longer be needed.

Sorry we missed a tiny bit in the server-side plist. Re-launch the app and try again, it should work now.

This was a last minute fix for Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 as dev team changed something compared to beta 1. As such I forgot to make an MD5 of the patched kernel. I will try and make one now however if you're capable then getting me the MD5 of /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kernelcaches/kernelcache would be a lot quicker than I can do it.

Ok the issue isn't quite what I thought it was. Can you MD5 the kernelcache please? You may need the md5sum utility from coreutils if doing this on your device. Can you also tell me what options you ticked when jailbreaking with redsn0w? Thanks.
