Bootlace 2.0.3 Released

Bootlace 2.0.3 is released.

This version is primarily to allow upgrading to MoJo 1.0.2 when it is released so upgrade now! There are a number of other changes detailed in the changelog in Cydia and Bootlace.

Still working on it. It's quite complicated as it involves a kernel patch. But Bluerise is now helping and we are making progress now so it's certainly a possibility in the near future!

Well the complicated bit is almost done! Just have to fix one bug with the kernel patch (which could turn out to be a massive headache ) After that its a matter of implementing the Bootlace side of things which I've started, unfortunately this is quite time consuming as I have to make sure everything goes right and will require a different set of patches for each device and iOS. Currently that's 8 sets of patches!

I have just successfully installed Bootlace 2.0.3 and idroid 1.0.2 after installing iOpenboot 0.1.2 on my 3G 8gb iOS 3.1.2 jailbroken.

The Cydia repo for Bootlace seems to go down once in a while but I finally managed to add it and download.

There were no errors and after having installed idroid through Bootlace, it booted on the first try.
It is faster than I had imagined after reading many comments, especially deactivating animated transitions etc. Wifi works well, but had to turn on/off many times, the network could be seen but not connect, finally it connected and seems stable (1 hour). Integrated web-browser works well and loads fast.  Touchscreen works well and typing also (very slight delay in keypress but nothing annoying). Sound works well on keypress but have not tested music yet. The cell antenna on my phone is broken so I cannot test carrier. The camera app crashes on loading systematically, and the image gallery hangs for a few minutes before crashing.

Yeh sorry about that, server went down last night due to datacenter maintenance, but thats a one off thing. Apart from that its been near 100% uptime. Glad you had a smooth experience

Well after spending a whole saturday testing out idroid, installing many apps, trying to get Gapps working, and managing to crash idroid and having to reinstall it twice (entirely my fault, I usually seem to screw up things on purpose to learn more), I've come to the conclusion that:

Having a reinstall option in Bootlace would be nice. It could store the latest idroid image somewhere and just wipe and clean install without having to remove and redownload it, that way when your on the go and it won't boot and you have no computer for adb etc it could be done. Maybe there's already a way but I didn't find it.

Well the main reason it doesn't do that is it would mean keeping two copies of the files which means unnecessary storage is used. I'm afraid it's unlikely it will be an option.
