Hi. For several reasons I do not want a iPhone yet... Maybee when the 4th gen arrives. Who knows?
Is there work porting it for the ipods? I know the phone functions wouldn't work but it'd still
be nice to have android, and the open apps available for such a device.

If I can be any help I can jailbreak my own device for testing purposes.

I also have an iPod touch 2g and I want android on it. I would be glad to test it and of course I'm jailbroken.

If you really want to help, send your device to a developer able to start the port, offering to test their work doesn't really help much.

lmao. well, no offence but I'm not done using it so the best I can do is offer to test out their builds/ports on another device and verify the work, check for bugs, etc..

So I guess I'll need to wait until the work is done.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you're wasting peoples time, but offering to help test when there is no reason to believe there is actually anything to test is a bit unnecessary. I mean, it's not like they will really have a hard time finding testers.

no, but the one contact I could find working on it seems to be saying he's pressed for time.
I didn't know how far along he was, and if he just required someone to compile or test the build.

Erm, maybe We can provide something usable soon, so You both can make an test on iPod device.

I have compiled openiboot for ipod 2g from jaywalkers github, but IDK if it is compatable with iOS 4.0... if someone could let me know, it'd be great.

finding testers is not the issue, i would be more than happy as i have a 2g ipod touch. really the only thing is that jaywalker has incentive for Pogoplank, which has priority over openiboot for him. So unless TheUnleet releases something we are really at the mercy of whenever jaywalker or anyone can succesfully completely port it over.
