Post by: NOMIOMI on November 12, 2010, 03:52:51 PM
oooooolaaaa ihave found the way that there is no need to connect  bootlace to download the latest idroid form the internet is simple ist u need the bootlace 2.1 on ur iphone and now just download the latest idroid form the http://idroid.nickpack.com/iDroid/official/iDroid-Project/3G/ on ur computer i m sure that downloading on computer is faster then downloading on bootlace on iphone
and now put the iDroid-1.0.3-MoJo-3G.tar.gz in the private/var/mobile/documents/bootlace
and open the bootlace and go to idroid tab in bootlace bootlace will check the latest version of the idroid on internet and just simple hit the install button and woolaaaa installation starts without downloading the idroid from internet

This shorcut can be used in 2G too, copying in /private/var/mobile/documents/bootlace the correct idroid release (http://idroid.nickpack.com/iDroid/official/iDroid-Project/2G/iDroid-1.0.3-MoJo-2G.tar.gz), using scp command from your PC (copy over ssh).
This idea is useful when you reinstall frecuently idroid.

Heya! So I was trying what you instructed, I downloaded the latest version(which as today is 1.0.5) of iDroid, I copied it to the directory you specified(I used iFunBox) and I launched Bootlace and pressed the iDroid tab, but when I pressed "Install", after verifying, it practically overwrote the file I downloaded and downloaded a new one. (I know the one I downloaded from my computer isn't corrupt since I can extract everything using WinRar.)

Any help on this?
Thanks. :D

The whole point of Bootlace is to install without the need of a PC. What's the point?
