Blank screen for openiboot and android

I'm running an iPhone 3G firmware 3.1.2 with a redsnow jailbreak. I had a custom boot logo from the jailbreak but boot lace seems to have removed it. I'm running bootlace 2.1.5, OpeniBoot 0.2 and I've tried iDroid 1.0.4 and with the new 1.0.5.

If I use quick boot from bootlace or just reboot the phone. I can't see a boot choice on my screen. The screen is on, just black. If I quick boot to android I get the same effect, a blank but on screen. Luckily if I reboot and wait the default 10sec for openiboot, I boot back to my iOS. I'm not sure why my screen is blank during OpeniBoot or if I quick boot iDroid. I've reinstalled everything (bootlace, OpeniBoot, and iDroid) a few times with the same problem. I suspect this might have something todo with my jailbreak and having a custom boot logo but bootlace removed that when I installed OpeniBoot. I've search all over and can't even find any posts on anyone having this type of problem, let alone for a solution.

Uhm... can you try jailbreaking with a newer version of Redsnow?

well I just updated my firmware to 3.1.2 to be able to use bootlace. I used the latest redsn0w 0.9.2.XX that can use that firmware, the "lastest", 0.96.XX (I think) cannot even if they say it can, it wouldn't accept it.

yeah it's crazy, I now don't think it has anything do to with a custom boot logo because other people on this forum are saying they lost their custom boot logo but everything else works fine.

Can you try using redsn0w 0.94... That's what I use but I'm on a iPhone2G...

I was actually referring to my iphone in general, contacts, sms, apps etc. I know you lose everything when you do a firmware update then jailbreak. I was planning on just running redsn0w, and checking the "already pwned" box. I guess while I'm here posting, I'll ask which way should I re-jailbreak my iphone in redsn0w?

Hmm... I know that if you backup stuff first in iTunes, then sync after a firmware update, you're pretty much safe (except all your jailbreak stuff is gone).

Contacts, photos, non-jailbreak stuff will most likely be safe after a re-jailbreak. I'm not sure about cydia stuff.

Best is to sync in iTunes before doing anything.

I re-jailbroke with only "already pwned" checked on redsn0w 0.9.4, no luck  . Next I'll try checking only "install cydia"

It won't rejailbreak if you checked already pwned.

You could try using 3.1.3, if no one comes...
