Some things I have found to be of issue
« on: March 02, 2011, 04:00:04 PM »
Iphone 3g and android are EXTREMLY SLOW! probably because android is not meant to run on the iphone hardware and what not. also: plugin into the computer may charge but the device doesn't show up in the my computer section of devices on windows 7 to drag and drop music to it.

these are the few things I have noticed that stop me from booting into android as opposed to IOS

Correct.  Android is not meant to run on iPhone hardware because reversing is not yet complete.  Not all the hardware is working properly so that means it will charge but you won't be able to drag and drop music to it.

Thank you. So I am wondering - why port a OS to a device not compatible of running it properly? - just a question...

It will be, but we have to write most of the drivers from scratch, these things take time...

http://www.idroidproject.org/forum/general-discussion/android-market-alternatives/

Link above has a list of android market alternatives.

Sorry but no instructions on how to use/install each alternative. You have to read through them.  But it is not recommended to try running apps because the battery life is ~2 hours and there is no graphics acceleration for games of videos. :(

But if you want to try them out go ahead.
