Getting iPhone files through iDroid?
« on: March 19, 2011, 01:23:54 PM »
Hope this is the right forum to post this in.
I have an iphone 3g 3.1.2 jailbroken with redsn0w I had some trouble and  during a reboot I got stuck on the beloved silver apple logo. I can boot into android just fine. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to retrieve files from the iPhone os, mainly pictures and videos. Any help would be great.
Thanks

disk0s1 is corrupt, so the best thing you can do is throw it in DFU when it gets stuck, and restore.

ddom, rekoil: how come ever since the release of 11.02, the iOS disk goes corrupt? i remember at least two other people telling this.
Meh. You wouldn't care.

Please stop mentioning our names if we are not involved in the thread (but now you can mention me because I replied). Send us a PM instead.

Anyways, uhm the iOS disk partition has always been getting corrupted with iDroid since day 1 due to unclean shutdown etc. I had experience these problems even with the first release (0.1a).

Anyways back on topic.  Yes you can retrieve the files from iPhone OS using the built-in file manager. Just navigate to /host/mobile/Media to see your pics and videos (from Camera Roll).

However if you want to save them, you have to use ADB Pull to transfer them from your iPhone to your PC.
