openiboot problem.
« on: October 01, 2011, 04:31:53 AM »
So I've installed Bootlace and jailbroke my iPod touch 1g on Redsn0w 0.9.4
But when I'm on bootlace, Everything works fine. Then I try to install OpeniBoot.
It says 'Installing'
Then a couple seconds later, It says ''Could not retrive firmware from Apple Servers''
Something close to that. Whats wrong?
IS there something to fix this? Or is there another way to install openiBoot without a comp?
I just wanna boot my iPod touch into an android device. thanks

Apple servers need to be working...

Otherwise, no other way to install OpeniBoot on iPod touch 1G without using a computer.

Thanks for the reply, I thought this forum was dead.
So the apple servers aren't working temporary? Or for ever?
I have a windows 7 32 bit computer.
Can you give me a run down of how to do it?

PS. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this but, Will iPhoDroid work on my ipt 1g?

Apple servers were not working since April... so most likely forever.

You can install it using Windows by following the guide on the Wiki.

As far as I know, iPhodroid does not work on ipod touches.

Thanks for the help.
I'll guess I'll be on the comp all day reading about this.
