norbackup.dump not created by default (how to recover)
« on: July 06, 2012, 12:35:24 PM »
Hello everyone,

yesterday I've installed Idroid on my ipod touch 1G by starting from whited00r  5.2 firmware, then by installing Ibootlace by Cydia (included in withed00r).
Since openIboot wasn't installed automatically through Ibootlace, I've done it manually by following this wiki:
All went well and now I have both IOS and Idroid working, but since the file norbackup.dump wasn't created automatically now I don't have a backup of the original bootloader :(
Because of Idroid on my ipod is a little bit slow and buggy (sometimes restarts without notice) I want to remove it, but how can I do without the original bootloader? Is there
a way to recover the original one or I must keep openiboot to avoid that my ipod become a paperweight?

Thanks in advance and regards.

The norbackup.dump is only needed if you need to restore from a backup if your device becomes bricked.
