LG GD510 POP and Droid?

Hi guys

anyone think i could install android on this phone? (LG GD510 POP) they have it on ebay uk for £90 on orange, i'm usually o2, but there prolly 'an app for that' lol.

i sold my ipony 2g to my friend, so i'm looking for a new phone. i heard 3.0 is coming out end of this year, start of next, major spec req upgrade, 1ghz and 512mb ram wow.  

i was reading there may be a branch off old android and new android (i thought droid might be a cool name, suggestions please lol) with development continuing on a smaller scale for older Android devices.

Well, I don't know what you definition of "cheap" is, but I would absolutely suggest the Google N1 (nexus one) over any android phone on the market. Unlockable bootloader via a simple fastboot command, FULL support from Cyanogen and his wonderful mod, ADOBE FLASH 10, and confirmed support for Android 3.0, you will not be disappointed. It was the first phone with Froyo, and probably runs Froyo the best IMHO.
