[SOLVED] OpeniBoot installation issues

Hey I recently attempted an install of OpeniBoot running Ubuntu Linux 10.04 32-bit (had to dual boot with Arch). I would consider myself an advanced linux user, however, I am not quite advanced with things like this. I jailbroke my iPod Touch (2nd gen) with blackra1n and was running 3.1.2 firmware. I followed the following guide:

I have successfully built the GNU toolchain.
When I plug my device in (recovery mode of course), running:

sudo client/loadibec openiboot.img3causes the device to flash white and reboot. No OpeniBoot, nothing but Apple's iBoot

I really want to get this resolved because I am interested in helping out with the project. I have done things in the past with C/Assembly such as writing my own kernel, etc.

you did everything correctly, but sadly what it did is all it is coded to do right now....reboot the device to show it is working.  jaywalker is working on pogoplank (iirc) right now and does not have time for this project atm.

Since openIboot has been updated 0.1.1 it wont let me build it  

i get the this err
