iOS Timezone issue, Calendar Crash after installing iDroid
« on: April 20, 2011, 07:22:23 AM »
Does this fix Timezone issue on IOS?

I am having trouble with iPhone 2G 3.1.3 os timezone. It always resets to GMT. I am in India (GMT +5.5)

Time in Android is showing proper time IST all the time. But iPhone OS resets back to GMT if I just connect to PC. Also all apps including mail, twitter etc showing GMT based time stamps even if I have set time mannually to IST.

Im using whited00r JB. Time was working fine before I install idroid. I think something got messed up while updating Kernel ?
Also, my calendar crashes everytime I click on a date where it has an event.

What iDroid version are you using?

Also how did you install iDroid/OpeniBoot?

Whited00r is not a JB. It is a custom firmware. That could have also messed up your time settings.

Im sure time was working fine before installing idroid.

I installed iDroid/OpeniBoot using cydia  > Bootlace.

I was on iDroid 11.02 till now. Few minutes ago updated to 11.04, now Android is not booting up. Its stuck on the console screen somewhere.

An update:

After few times restart, I managed to boot up Android. It seems all my installed application and configs are gone from iDroid. Is it so. Seems like a new installation than update.

BTW, iOS time still sucks.
Another thing I foind now is, in calendar/mail settings, timezone support isnt being active. Even if I turn it on, it sets back to off.

This is most likely an issue with Whited00r. Ask support from them at their webpage since they usually remove and add a lot of stuff in their custom firmwares.

And yes, updating to the latest version will reset everything (New Installation). This ensures that there will be no errors from previous versions or from stuff pre-installed with your old version.

Okay,
I will try with Whited00r guys.

Any ways, keep the good work up. I wish I could contribute something to this. May be very soon.

I will try to get more geeks to try this on by writing about this on my blog at htmlremix.com
