Automatic hard reset if locked

Hi all,

I've a couple hours installed succesfully iDroid. It works perfect! But i've a few problems.

1. If idroid locked my screen and i want to unlock it it is 2 sec. no screen and after that the bootloader . Is it possable that this can be fixed?
2. I can't use my iPhone as an mobile in idroid. I need to fill in my pin and after that i need to fill in a networkpin or something. Where can i find that?
3. I want also install apps. But how i can do that?

1. Sometimes this happens because Android has crashed and has rebooted itself.  It should not happen often.  If it keeps happening, you have something wrong and you should re-install iDroid only. Also how do you unlock it?  If you unlock it by holding both the home and power buttons, then it will naturally hard reset.

2. This is a known problem. Please always read the Release Notes/Announcements before installing anything so you would know the risks in installing. Anyways, after entering your PIN, enable Airplane Mode, then disable Airplane Mode. It should work. Or the easiest way is just to disable SIM PIN in iOS.

3. Please check the tutorials section of the forum for a guide for how to install apps. There are many ways, so pick one that is best for you.

I've reinstalled my iPhone again but with no results. If he goes in lock, a few seconds later it will be restarted. Can anyone help me?

Can you explain in more detail? Like what exact version of iDroid you are using. What jailbreak?

Does this happen every time?

EDIT: READ THIS FOR POSSIBLE FIX:

I've spoken with nickp666 and the kernel for iPhone 3G was modified.  This could be the source of the problem. 

You can try to download the 11.02 release from http://cdn.idroidproject.org/release/idroid/11.02/ specific for your device.  Extract it (in Windows use WinRAR or 7zip).  You should have a zImage file among the others extracted.

SSH or use a USB file manager to navigate to your iOS's /private/var/idroid folder. There should be an existing zImage. Delete the one on your iOS and transfer the recently extracted zImage from your PC to the folder.  Or you can just overwrite it.

Please tell us if this works and if the problem goes away, so we can fix our kernel.

Hate to bump this after a month, but I'm getting this issue occasionally with the latest release, though It's not quite so much a hard reset, moreso that it just bumps me back to the boot menu.

The first time it did this, I had to replace my userdata.img as Messaging would constantly crash if I didn't, though the past 2 times, if I let it boot into iOS (which it tends to automatically do after the reset), then restart the phone and boot into iDroid, there's no issues. It seems to do it more when the phone is plugged in, as it hasn't crashed yet while unplugged, though I only just installed iDroid tonight.

Everything else seems to be working wonderfully, just imported my iOS contacts through Gmail, texted some people, etc. Once more features are supported, I can't imagine I'll ever have to switch between the two at all.

Just replace zImage from an older version and you won't have the reseting problems.

EDIT: Using the zImage from 11.02 causes the boot process to hitch at a certain point, I'm going to continue to use 11.04's for the time being.
EDIT2: Er, or not? It's continuing to stick at the same point.
