iPod Touch 3G and a few other things...
« on: May 12, 2011, 10:57:30 PM »
Hey guys. I am a developer, still learning, and I just wanted to know this. You put android on iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4. So is it going to be available for the iPod Touch 3G? As well as that, where can I get instructions on how to run the terminal commands. I looked it up yesterday on my iPod and now the sites gone. And, one more thing. Where can I download the source code? I wanna help develop this thing. I know I'm only 12, but I can do a lot!

Well for one thing, you need to know C and reverse engineering for starters.

The source code can be found on http://www.github.com/iDroid-Project/openiboot

The problem with iPod Touch 3G is that the developers do not have one to develop on.  It is far difficult too just write code without the device in front of you.  But once porting to the iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G is done, the code can be partly used for porting to the iPod Touch 3G (maybe some or all of the code).  However, the developers would still need an iPod Touch 3G.
