NAND Erase only for iPhone 3GS

That should not be a common question... anyway.

I would like to have your opinion on use the "nand_erase 0 0" command to wipe out the NAND from my 3GS device.
Should it have a chance to work or there is not a chance at all?

ps.: I've read the compatibility list, etc. What I am asking is oppinion only.
