Iphone 2g on At&t no service
« on: December 13, 2010, 10:16:59 PM »
Hi,

I have a 2g running lastest idroid installed via bootlace as of yesterday.   I'm on 3.13 IOS and I used pwnagetool to jailbreak.

I've got wifi working (had to click install wifi firmware)  and everything is pretty responsive.  My main issue is I have no service.   I've researched it on and off for the last day to no avail.  I've tried turning off data and I've reinstalled idroid twice.  The iphone is office on at&t with no unlock.  Any thoughts or tips as really besides powermanagment it's great.  I've love to get the phone working as I'd be using it quite a bit.

Great job on the port guys.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

how did you get redsn0w working with 3.1.3?

I'll try that next.

Well use any redsn0w but when you are going to browse for the ipsw, you have to point it to the 3.1.2 ipsw (i have no idea why the iphone dev team didn't fix this but who cares).

I had to unlock it using the tools in redsnow so find your bootloader roms with you (no links from here because that's illegal, google is your friend).

Don't worry the iPhone will still be in 3.1.3 according to iTunes and yes 3.1.3 apps from App Store work (proof that its not on 3.1.2).

I believe there was not a 3.1.3 fix because 4.0 beta was released for dev's, and seeing to further support for iPhone 2G, they stopped development all together and focused on 4.0 jailbreak

3.1.3 is almost completely identical to 3.1.2 bar some stupid fixes, the kernel etc are exactly the same, so there was no need to re-release redsn0w for it ;)
