I have read this:
http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/SDcard_emulation#Modifying_the_startup_files_.28android.img.gz.29but I am not sure what is necessary to enable a rewriteable sdcard folder under iDroid FroYo. (writeable up to the space left on the phone would be great, but a specific size limitation (1gb, 4gb, etc) would be alright also.
"From the iDroid MoJo releases, SD card is automatically mounted, emulated and fixed, as long as a folder called sdcard exists in iOS /private/var."
This folder exists, but I am unable to save anything to it while Android is running, so I can't download and install apps via apk directly to the phone. (I am able to install by using ADB from a terminal window on my Mac: adb install <pathtoapkfile> while the phone is connected via usb and running android).
Do I need to use the adb shell commands to directly modify sdcard folder permissions? (I haven't tried this for fear of breaking the phone). I did notice in iPhoneExplorer that the Facebook app had copied a ringtone into it, so I think that the permissions might be ok.
Thanks!
