[SOLVED] iOS only starts in Recovery Mode
« on: November 20, 2010, 05:55:23 PM »
I just followed these instructions
http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/Installing_OpeniBoot

to install OpeniBoot on my ipod touch 1G. When it restarted as part of the last step on the tutorial, I selected iOS.
iOS starts with a white flash screen then apple logo then goes in to recovery mode with the arrow pointing to itunes!
how can i get out of this and actually load to my iOS???

Thanks!

Question 1:
Were you holding the Home button for a long time when you selected iOS in OpeniBoot? You only need to press Home button once.

If no, question 2:
What iOS version are you using and what jailbreak method? Maybe you should restore using iTunes, jailbreak and try to install OpeniBoot again.

People have better success in using blackra1n on their iPod Touch 1G to run OpeniBoot.

You could try that jailbreak method.

Uhmm... oops new post. Marked thread as [SOLVED]

Cool try to reboot/turn on/off device to see if OpeniBoot still works and iOS boots properly.
