P.S im jailbroken on ios4 with comex newly release jailbreak. im wondering will this my ipod touch go much slower than it already is its not that slow but it not as fast as before. P.S i know that upgrading to 4.0 was a bad idea but i didnt did it on purpose. Lol, ive didnt knew anything about shsh blobs untill it was to late. i had to restore my ipod touch because i wanted to sart fresh on a new theme and i had way to many apps. So i was lazy just to go thru all of that so i tried to restore it back on 3.1.2 . but then i noticed ive couldnt go back to 3.1.2 unless i had a blobs <------ Lol, off topic sry got carried away

well if you used jailbreakme.com you have to restore/rejailbreak to use openiboot as jailbreakme.com is only userland. you need to use something like redsn0w to jailbreak. since your on 4.0 (i am too) you need the original 4.0 restore file which should be in your /App Data/Local Roaming/Apple/iPod Touch Software Update/ folder or something close to that, if you can't find it google "Felix Bruns" without the quotation marks and you should be able to download every restore file for every firmware there. but you can still use openiboot with iOS4, i have 4.0.1 on my 3G and iDroid works fine. We just now need to wait for it to be ported to ipt2g, i hear of a rumor of ipt4g getting 3g support, doubt it would support t-mobile's network but still would be cool for android. but yes you need to rejailbreak using redsn0w if your on windows. Redsn0w 0.9.5-b5

use the tool Firmware Umbrella to backup your SHSH blobs, i'm pretty sure you can save them to your computer with that idk, if im incorrect then i blame it on being sleep deprived as i have not been able to sleep in 2 days.

i dont mind having to restore my ipod then rejailbreaking it plus it keeps me busy. me adding alot of stuff adding this and that its quite a timekiller. plus i have a mc model not a mb. oh and i already have a 4.o restore p.s thnx for you quick reply lol you aint the only one thats aving a hard time to sleep i havent went to sleep yet stayed up since yesterday morning.

im pretty sure you can still use redsn0w with MC, it just may be tethered im not entirely sure. but i know with a userland jailbreak you cannot load openiboot

i know redsn0w ask's if your model is MC or MB

idk i don't have a MC model so i couldn't tell ya. though i never turn my stuff off. i do use SBSettings though to respring if i feel it needs it. and i don't have multitasking enabled so i don't have to worry about apps running in the background.

redsn0w doesnt jailbreak mc models ive believe it will only modify the restore and you have to boot it with iboot ive believe or something like that but you must be on 3.1.2 jailbroken

my sister has a mb model ipod touch but her buttons are messed up they are pushed in. but you have to apply a little force to work. i be asking her to replace mines cus i can just go get it fixed. Plus her is jailbroken on 3.1.2 blackra1n and she barely uses her jailbreak lol she only uses the proswitcher and thats it besides music facebook and safari which rarely ppl even uses since opera mini came out. but thats is in my opinion. ima try to see if i can switch with hers

well maybe something will come out soon. i'm suprised mine isnt MC, i bought if off apples website in january, 32gb model. I looked and it appears jailbreakme.com is the only untethered jail break for 4.0 mc atm, so hopefully something else will be released soon. (geohot maybe has something? if he really is back)

ok lol, thats sneaky but maybe you could put the same stuff on yours as hers and just offer to trade with her? since her buttons are apparently messed up she may go for it.
