ipt2g openiboot questions
« on: June 25, 2010, 12:43:37 AM »
why is it taking so much longer to get openiboot working on the ipod touch 2g than it was to get oib working on the ipod touch 1g? I have heard from so many people that once openiboot is done, it will be easy to port the idroid to the 2g, but ive been waiting weeks and I haven't seen much progress (atleast progress being spread around the web) in the past few days. What is making it so hard? Is there anyone who can tell me that openiboot is only days away from being finished? It seems to me that not as many people are helping with the ipt2g port as there should be.

The answer is very simple, the ipt1G uses the same processor and otherwise very similar hardware to the iPhone2G and iPhone3G... hence they (ipt1G and iPhone3G) were very easily ported once we had full iPhone2G support.

If it's important to you, start porting yourself and find out why it's taking so long. It's not easy, nobody knows where to start apart from very few people, and those few people are not focused on the ipt2G.
