loadibec error on linux
« on: October 11, 2010, 12:15:56 AM »
When I try to do this command,

sudo ./loadibec openiboot.img3

I get the following error

"syntax error "(" unexpected

Any idea why this happens? Running Ubuntu 10.04 off the disc i burned.

Did you compile loadibec and openiboot by yourself or did you download it from Nickpack's file mirror?

Did you install the required libraries for 32-bit linux? If you are using 64-bit did you install the libraries needed for it to run?

This is normally due to missing libraries, but can sometimes occur if you are using a version compiled for a different arch

check out the wiki page for installation (I assume you're using Linux) http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/Installing_iDroid_(Linux). on first glance, it looks like you need the 32 bit versions of  libusb-1.0, libusb-0.1, readline and libgcc. If you're on ubuntu, the libraries are included in the package manager.
