although this isnt really the place to be discussing this, I think yall should stop release different "versions" go back to 1.6 and get everything working for the iphone 2g once you have that working get 1.6 fully working for the 3g/3gs/4/ipod touches THEN release a 2.2.1 version.  I personally hate the way yall are doing the releases because you are not really fixing anything you are just coming up with "hacks" and "workarounds", I mean seriously yall have the source code get it working before releasing "updates" without fixing known issues.  Since I can not program/reverse engineer/code kernels/etc., etc., etc. everything I said is null and void but it is my opinion.

iPhone 2G / Idroid 1.0.4.1 wont boot
« on: November 30, 2010, 04:23:31 AM »
I downloaded the latest release via bootlace and now android will not boot.  I have deleted openiboot, idroid, and bootlace and reinstalled and still have the same problem.  It will get to a point in the boot process (before the android splash screen) to where it keeps outputting the same error every few seconds.  I would appreciate some help, and if I need to give more information please let me know and I will give it to you.  Iphone 2g redsnow jailbreak, bootlace 2.1.3-1, idroid 1.0.4.1

it see's all networks fine, but it never connects to anything.  I have personally turned the wifi off and on over 100 times in one session and it never connected and I would get the same output from the logcat.

iPhone 2G / logcat of trying to connect to wifi

http://pastie.org/1327486

The above link is to my logcat from idroid while trying to connect to my wifi.  I have the latest version of bootlace and idroid and I am not able to connect to my WEP Secured WIFI at my house while in idroid, ios works fine.  I have manually entered the ssid and wep key with no change.  IIRC I am using the v8 wifi firmware and have it placed in /private/var/firmware, and it is also supposed to be embedded in the system.img or something (i thought i read that somewhere).  If anyone can make sense of the logcat, i am thinking it may have something to do with "E/wpa_supplicant(  476): wpa_driver_priv_driver_cmd failed", and help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 2G / Overclocking Kernel?
« on: October 20, 2010, 05:29:26 AM »
Is it possible to be able to write a custom kernel that will allow for overclocking via setcpu or overclock widget?  If not please explain why.  Also if this is in the wrong section, please move it.

reboot into ios, restore ipod touch, re-jailbreak and enjoy cydia.

Serisouly?  dude there are how-to's and tutorials all over the place on how to do it.  Oh wait, thats right you do not want to install linux in a virtual machine.  Well then I refer you to the first sentence of this post.
