Off topic / iPhone 4
« on: June 08, 2010, 11:32:39 AM »
Created this thread because I'm interested to hear everyones thoughts on Apples newest "baby" (Jobs' words :P)

I'll most likely be purchasing both an iPhone 4 and an iPad when I'm in Australia in January :D (providing I haven't already wasted all my money by then :P)

Personally I think the new iPhone is brilliant. Sure, most of these features should have been there at the start, but meh, they are here now and they look gooooood. FaceTime is meh, but obviously nice for people with impaired hearing so is a welcome addition. A little disappointed that there wasn't a capacity bump to 64Gb, but then again, I haven't filled up my 32Gb yet anyway. If the camera is as good as Steve made it out to be it should be sufficient for me to use for most of the time, so fingers crossed for that.

...is good :) :) :)

It's awesome actually, and this makes it more awesome!: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/de ... nooimalbmj < < < Awesome Android theme for Chromium!

Other awesome things about Google Chrome (or Chromium):
  • Built-in flash! No more downloading flash, it's already in there!
  • A single url bar for both search and url entering, custom keywords can easily be added, for example, if I wanna go to the wikipedia page on awesome, I type "wiki Awesome" in my Chromium url bar. Similarly if I wanna check out wiktionarys page on awesome, I type "wikt Awesome". It also translates for me, "ensv Awesome" gives me Awesome in Swedish which is "Awesome" because Awesome is Awesome in all languages! Nice!
  • Extensions! "No way!!!" is what you'll say, cause everyone talks about firefox when they talk extensions. But it's true!
  • Crash management: a shitty page causes your browser to crash? No more! In Chromium every tab is treated like it's own process, with the actual Chromium window acting more like a window manager than an actual browser. "YES!!"
  • Did I mention it's 600%* faster both at rendering and startup than Firefox!
*not actually based on fact
Download Chromium or Google Chrome now!

For Mac users, here is my script for downloading Chromium builds!:

"Thanks Rekoil! You're awesome!"

Please share why you think Chromium is awesome!
