Nice one, guys :).
I'll run a check on 4.2 as soon as the public release comes out. Got it on at the minute but the jailbreak causes some screen glitching issues (usable, but annoying!).

iPhone 3G / Re: iDroid not booting? [Unsolved Mystery]

I'll see if I can replicate the problem on mine.
16GB iP3G @ 4.1 Jailbroken with Redsn0w 0.9.6b2

OpenSSH - Latest.

Can't seem to get Cydia working so I will have to go alone without OpeniBoot. Darn thing!

I'd not noticed any instability issues. Mind if I ask your machine specs?

Looks like a nice interface, and if I am reading you correctly, you're thinking make this like an automatic installer on the iDevice?

If so, that poses the problem of getting off the NAND Key as there's no separate location to store it. (off the phone), which could cause issues with un-recoverable bricks, etc.

Although, it does look nice and I'm sure a dev will get back with the pros and cons to your idea :).

Was you up all night releasing this, mate?

Gonna attempt to install it. Hopefully won't brick my phone :p

Cheers for the hard work!

Nothing will really save the battery life as there is no PMU. The kernal runs at 100% no matter what. Suppose you could stop applications running (Advanced Task Killer for a GUI), drop screen brightness, turn off Wifi and GPS etc. Suppose it'd need thorough testing, but who's got the time for all that? ;)

You can probably remove everything you don't want or need. I can't answer the question on the v1 release against v4 etc. Maybe you could try it out and see if there's any issues? I'm thinking about looking into it a bit later on.

If you do try out a later release of BB, let us know how you get on :)

May I suggest you clear your phone and start again, but instead, use this tutorial; viewtopic.php?f=14&t=867

Instead of downloading the iFroyo that's linked on there, download this one instead; ...

If you follow those instructions, you should find you have no problems. I'm yet to see an easier to follow guide :p.
Good luck!

You could try removing some of the Daemons on bootup to increase some speed. There's a tutorial on ModMyi on how to do this, and what to do. I noticed a slight increase.

If you sync your contact with Google, you can ADB your contacts over too when you run SetupWizard.apk. :)

Even easier than that, disconnect the device a couple of times (you'll see USB resets on the device), then do sudo ./oibc which should then bring it all up for you. Always worked for me.

You can install Opera Mini, yes. Running very very nicely on mine! :)
