Touchscreen Problem

by arjuna_ » Sun Aug 01, 2021 11:30 pm

I am having a touchscreen issue for the first time with iDroid. I tried to update to the v5 of ddFroyo2g and I was able to successfully do that without crashing anything until i tried to install gapps again. For some reason it didn't work and I reinstalled iDroid. Now whenever I boot into iDroid my touchscreen doesn't work. I have tried to reupload all my img and bin files multiple times with FileZilla but for some reason its not working. All of my physical buttons are working (home button, power button) but the touchscreen is not. I have v5 installed once again now. Also while booting into Android I see a message that says that multitouch data verification failed and something about bytes. Any help would be appreciated!

Multitouch data verification failed means the firmware (.bin files) aren't found or working.

Have you checked if the bin filesize you upload match the ones on your PC?

Also how did you install gapps? Did you do anything to the etc folder in system.img?

I can't get my touchscreen to work in using iDroid v1.01. It previously worked when I had Android 1.6 installed, but now when I boot into Android the touchscreen won't unlock. The touchscreen works fine on iOS. I think there's a problem with my touchscreen drivers. Using DripWin on Mac OS I get this:

MD5 (zephyr_aspeed.bin) = 2765a9cff1c343a3ffce0191c4fba71a
MD5 (zephyr_main.bin) = ca16962eae94ae52c155f54d346e60ad

Previously, I had a set of drivers that have the following hashes:

MD5 (zephyr_aspeed.bin) = bad4dedccde0a5bef1a9468d918aa75a
MD5 (zephyr_main.bin) = 8e67766dcffaafa010efa0cc7f817274

But none of these drivers work... any suggestions on how to get the touchscreen working on Froyo?

It's an iPhone 2G running 3.1.2 jailbroken using PwnageTool.

The MD5 hashes don't need to match.

What do need to match though are the filesizes of the zephyrs from your computer and your iPhone /private/var/firmware directory.

Example:
After extraction: zephyr_aspeed.bin is 992 bytes. When I copy it to /private/var/firmware, it should still be 992 bytes.

Thanks for trying to help. The filesizes are the same on the computer and the device. I'm using Filezilla to transfer the files to the iPhone, which worked before in Android 1.6.

My file sizes are aspeed = 992 bytes and main at 520,192 bytes.

I do notice that I am getting this error when the multitouch drivers are loading using the zephyr drivers I pulled from Drpwin 2:

"multitouch: blank data packet sent"
"multitouch: uploading main firmware"
"multitouch: data verification failed type bytes got 00 02 00 00 -- 1434c0c"

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

520,192 bytes? 500+ KB???

Uhm zephyr_main is less than 100KB. Mine is at 45,056 bytes.

Try using Ninn's extraction technique if you have a Linux with you.
